Christopher Pendle

"Back in the early 90s I . . . spoke to a couple who lived on his old farm near Tacoma. Pendle’s original one-room cabin from the early 1880s had only just been dismantled but his two story, empty farmhouse built afterwards is still on the property with the house built for current property owners. After the last of his three children died in the 1960s the house was vacant for some time and over time people who broke into it stole Pendle’s old uniform and a gun collection he had which included rifles he bought from Indians while still in Dakota Territory, some of which might have been used at Little Big Horn." ~ Bob Tiernan
